CORRUPTION
BY: PETER OGUNSEYE
There was once a monster,
Hated by many,
Detested by all,
Yet quiet in nature.
He left our community,
To live alone.
To live to die,
In the thick forest of forgotten.
All were happy,
Believing same to be true, that
The monster that had gone;
To the forest to die.
They lose their guard
Believing the monster had gone,
Not knowing that the monster can change
Into anything he wants.
He became gratitude;
Loved by all, he laughed at them
So, he became inadequacy. They never
Resist
He put greed in their minds
To desire lovely things, the spirit of
Having it all. They began to love it
As all became selfish.
Anarchy looms in their hearts,
As the monster laughs at them,
As their hearts become monstrous,
Just like the monster they thought,
Had gone to die.
The monster laughs at them,
Ha!!! Ha!!! Ha!!! Ha!!!!;
Appear before them in his monstrous cloak
And called himself CORRUPTION.
