IT ALL STARTED IN THE UPPER ROOM
BY: PETER OGUNSEYE
Fear grips their hearts,
Tension in their tendons,
Uncertainty in their hearts,
As they restlessly sat in the upper room.
They were in the upper room,
One hundred and twenty in number,
As instructed by Christ,
Before his ascension to heaven.
Men of different tribes in the upper room,
With different tongues and culture,
But with love and faith,
They stayed united.
Then the word of prophet Joel came to pass,
As the spirit came on al l flesh,
Are birth begins;
A new nation of Isreal emerges.
Boldness in the hearts of men,
The quiet upper room became lousy,
Men speak in different tongues,
Heard by different tribes.
The gospel of Christ was shared,
All nations ,made aware of his resurrection,
The kingdom of heaven is at hand,
As many were converted.
At the upper room it all started;
Up to this moment.
Without the Holy Spirit,
The upper room would have remained subdued,
And the coming of Christa myth;
But for the upper room.
