NEBUCHADNEZZAR!!!!!

A powerful warrior in battle,

Oh!!! Great king of Babylon,

A vast land you conquered,

Jerusalem and Jordan,in your grasp.

Your ego and pride a blessing,

For seven years a wild animal,

Oh great king of Babylon,

Humbled by God in his might.

A king , a beast,

Humbled for his pride.

You ignored caution,

Caution that would have saved

Your reign.

Many of us are like you, Nebuchadnezzar,

Who ignored the voice of God

Unwilling to control the sin in us

As we are warned to desist from it.

You told us your coming is near,

Yet, we wallow in sin,

Waiting for us to yield your warning ,

Before we became a beast for eternity.

Oh great king of Babylon,

Your life a lesson for all.

As we’ve learnt to heed your warning,

As obedience surpasees sacrifice.
