LETTER TO JOB (PART ONE )
BY: PETER OGUNSEYE
I live in the 21st century,
So sharp a contrast to your age,
Lifestocks and the numbers of your children
Are evidence of your riches,
Assets are evidence of mine.
Ladies, cover their nudity in your time;
not in my days.
In our days morality was high;
Not in my days.
God was proud of you,
Satan tempted you.
Tempted you to deny God,
Yet you resisted this urge.
In a day your children died,
So was your wife asking you to deny God,
Saying you must have offended God;
You are being punished for your sins.
Your health deteriorated,
Your medications ineffective,
In your days its punishment for your sins
In this age it is H.I.V.
You were ostracized from the society,
Castigated by your brethrens,
In this age you will be stoned to death
As a way to please God of your sins.
