NFF denies planning to offer West Ham boss Sam Allardyce Super Eagles’ coaching Job
The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has denied reports making the rounds that West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is being considered to coach the Super Eagles. Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Friday, the new General Secretary of the Federation, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi debunked the reports. “Before God and man, I am just hearing the story for the first time,” Sanusi said. Sanusi added that he was not aware of such plan in the NFF. He also urged everybody present at the media conference to exercise patience with him since he was just assuming office. There were speculations during the week that Allardyce, popularly called ‘Big Sam’ was a favourite for the Eagles’ coaching job. The Super Eagles have been without a head coach since the end of the 2014 World Cup as contract talks between Stephen Keshi and the NFF are still ongoing.
