IS THE BLACKMAN CURSED? PART 1
Black is just a colour,
Blacks are humans;
A peculiar race,
A race so troubled in history
So troubled and scattered by history.
In the days of slavery,
They suffered most,
Sold themselves as slaves,
Sold themselves to other races
For the sugar cane plantations.
They died in their numbers,
As they perished with their talents,
They suffered for their freedom;
Gained their freedom,
The racial stigma remains a scar,
For generations to come.
Our continent,
War torn with disputes,
Characterised with selfish leaders,
Full of religious disputes.
Greed across the continent,
Brothers killing brothers,
Innocent blood on the land,
As we cover our sins with sin
Is this a curse?
Is the black race cursed?
Though blessed with natural resources,
Yet, we fight over it like beasts.
