JOSE MOURINHO’S PHILOSOPHY IN FLOYD MAYWEATHER BOXING TACTICS----A NEW DIMENSION IN GAMES?

Many football fans and pundits have indeed criticized Jose Mourinho as a defensive minded coach. They believe he is not good enough to create a free flow attacking minded team.Most Often they believe his team is boring. In spite of this, he has won many trophies both in England Italy and in Spain. Trophies like the premier league, the F. A cup, the Carling cup and most importantly the champions league. All this was achieved by the so called defensive minded Mourinho. Many times he replied, his critics saying what is the essence of the game without victories. Boring to Mourinho is not winning a trophy for 10 years saying that truly is indeed boring. With the game stated for Sunday 3 of May 2015, Mourinho may once again win the premier league this season that is 2014/2015 season, thereby winning the premier league the 4th time in the premier league.

Some footballers and coaches on the other hand shared the philosophy of Mourinho among them are Diego someone of Atletico Madrid Fc, SAM Alladyce of west ham Fc.e.t.c believes that in as much as you obey the official rule of the game how you play on the field does not matter. It should be noted, however, that this argument will still continue among fans and analyst for some time to come.

The boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao yesterday in Las Vegas showed a highly technical Mayweather with a defensive skill in the boxing ring against Pacquiao. Pacquiao though attacking minded, yet, was not able to get enough hit at Mayweather because of his defensive skills. Mayweather on the other hand was able to get some jabs against Pacquiao using his heights and long hand as a distance between him and his opponent. Mayweather smartness in the ring, his movement and his concentration is indeed a new tactic that is being introduced in boxing which is being used efficiently by Mayweather.

Just like Mourinho with many championship titles so also is Mayweather with 48 wins in 48 matches. His punches are not that ferocious though it is enough to score points. Unlike the attacking minded Pacquiao though fast, but not cautious enough to cover the little space which Mayweather exploits to score his points.

In modern day games, however, it seems to me that being defensive tend to give more victories than being attacking minded. I am of this opinion that whatever game you play always do that which works for you once it is within the rules of the game and it gives you victory. A game without victory is nothing but an attendance because it is only champions that history will remember.
