I will please God

My deepest desire is to please God,

Pleasing him my peace of mind;

Innermost peace difficult to describe,

Pleasing him my eternal joy.

Please God, he fights for you;

Like the Israelites and Jericho fell,

Pleasing him may seem difficult,

But the reward is eternal.

Abraham pleases him; the father of the nation,

David made the king of Isreal;

His lineage the wisest king,

Pleasing him a great gain.

With his sacrifice Abel pleased him,

Death of Abel, birth of Seth,

Lineage of Seth,

Birth of Christ.

In all ways my God, I please,

For sure the gain will come,

With God, no one shall fail,

For his mercies endureth forever.
