Though old and frail,

Tired and unkempt,

The wisdom of life in them,

They envy you with dignity.

They look in your youth;

They laugh,

Repeating their past mistakes;

Battlingthe consequences.

They remember their love life,

As you show your love to another,

Foreseeing certain mistakes on the way,

Doubting whether you will listen.

They wish they were you,

Looking strong and active,

Willing to correct their errors,

Errors committed in the past.

Their days are numbered,

Preparing for their grave,

Eager to make amends,

For a better life after death.

They rue over their errors,

They wish to make amends;

Oh! They can’t undo the past,

A permanent scar in their memory.
