THESE DRY BONES
Dry bones are dead bones,
Dead, for long years,
They are long gone to live,
Could they ever breathe again?
Long gone our hope to diversify,
Diversify our economy for good,
For many years we wanted to diversify,
Nevertheless, our dependent on oil.
For years kidnapping had thrived,
Incessantly people’s freedom hijacked,
Taken for a sum of money.
For the discharge of these innocent.
In justiceto the common man,
Justice delayed at the detriment of peace,
Death of the innocent a bad consequence.
Will these dead bones ever rise again?
Lord only you will know,
For I know not,
Impossibility is not your name,
From the four corners of the earth
I seek thee, to bring life into my country, Nigeria.
