LAW OF THE LAND

Law of the land,

Begins with the family,

Respect your elders, they say,

For orderliness in the society.

Law of the land,

Begins with the societal norms,

Obey the community norms,

For a peaceful society.

Law of the land,

End with punishment for disobedience,

No matter who ox is gored,

Equality before the law.

Enforcing the law of the land;

Pleadings for leniency,

Seeking for unholy favours,

Dinning with the devil.

Don’t they know,

That only truth can set free,

To live an unblemished life

And a peaceful tomorrow.

Yet Christ sums it all,

Love your neighbour as yourself,

For the love of neighbour in your heart,

Lead you to a lawful land.
